Build According to God’s Pattern

Good morning Saints,

Few weeks ago, I was invited to attend the dedication of a Chinese church in town. In the same week I was impressed in my spirit the following words “To build according to the pattern”

I was reminded that after God’s creation, He saw that it was very good
Genesis 1:31, “Then God saw everything that He had made, and indeed it was very good. So the evening and the morning were the sixth day.”

From the above verse, it reminded me the importance and that it is crucial for one to follow God’s pattern which will ultimately affect or critical to one success or failure!

Thus when God asked Moses to build the tent of meeting or tabernacle or sanctuary in the wilderness, God gave Moses a pattern to build up in Mount Sinai.

Exodus 25:8, “And let them make Me a sanctuary, that I may dwell among them.”

Exodus 25:9, “According to all that I show you, that is, the pattern of the tabernacle and the pattern of all its furnishings, just so you shall make it.

God reminded Moses later again in
Exodus 25:40, “And see to it that you make them according to the pattern which was shown you on the mountain.”

God gave a detailed pattern, a blueprint or vision of the tabernacle
For Moses to build. The tabernacle was like a picture of our Lord Jesus Christ in the New Testament.

John 1:14, “And the Word became flesh and dwelt (tabernacled) among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.

When the tabernacle was completed, God’s cloud and glory were upon the tabernacle. The cloud and the glory signified God’s approval that the tabernacle was built according to God’s pattern

Hebrews 8:5, “who serve the copy and shadow of the heavenly things, as Moses was divinely instructed when he was about to make the tabernacle. For He said, “See that you make all things according to the pattern shown you on the mountain.”

Exodus 40:33, “And he raised up the court all around the tabernacle and the altar, and hung up the screen of the court gate. So Moses finished the work.”

Exodus 40:34, “Then the cloud covered the tabernacle of meeting, and the glory of the Lord filled the
tabernacle.“

Thus in the New Testament, our Lord Jesus Christ is the pattern, our foundation
For building the church!

In Matthew 16 Jesus asked the disciples who they think Jesus Christ was?

Simon bar-Jonah (Peter) said in
Matthew 16:15, “He said to them, “But who do (M)you say that I am?”

16 Simon Peter answered and said, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.”

17 Jesus answered and said to him, “Blessed are you, Simon Bar-Jonah, for flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but My Father who is in heaven.

18 And I also say to you that you are Peter, and on this rock (revelation) I will build My church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it.
19 And I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.”

John 6:27, “Do not labor for the food which perishes, but for the food which endures to everlasting life, which the Son of Man will give you, because God the Father has set His seal on Him.”
The word “seal” means the “Hand of God’s approval” is on Jesus Christ!

In 1 Corinthians 3:11, “For no other foundation can anyone lay than that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ.

Thus let us continue to build according to God’s pattern in the New Testament, according to our Lord Jesus Christ.

Finally, brethren whatever area of life that we are called to-our walk, our relationship, our family, our vocation, our ministry- let us continue to build according on God’s pattern and approval, Jesus Christ- the fullness of the Godhead!

Resulting in
Proverbs 4:18, “But the path of the just is like the shining sun,
That shines ever brighter unto the perfect day.”
