Holiness – Nature of God

Good morning saints,
It is so good and refreshing to be reminded by the blessed Holy Spirit the nature of God through the following verses.

1 Peter 1:15-16, “but as He who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct,

V16 because it is written, “Be holy, for I am holy.”

Hebrews 12:14, “Pursue peace with all people, and holiness, without which no one will see the Lord:”

1 Corinthians 1:30, “But of Him you are in Christ Jesus, who became for us wisdom from God—and righteousness and sanctification and redemption—“

2 Corinthians 6:16, “And what agreement does the temple of God have with idols? For we are the temple of the living God, as God said: I will dwell and walk among them, and I will be their God, and they will be my people.“

2 Corinthians 6:17, “Therefore, come out from among them and be separate, says the Lord; do not touch any unclean thing, and I will welcome you.

2 Corinthians 6:18, “And I will be a Father to you, and you will be sons and daughters to me, says the Lord Almighty.”

2 Corinthians 7:1, “Therefore, having these promises, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.”

Isaiah 6:1, “In the year that King Uzziah died, I saw the Lord sitting on a throne, high and lifted up, and the train of His robe filled the temple.

V2 “Above it stood seraphim; each one had six wings: with two he covered his face, with two he covered his feet, and with two he flew.

V3 “And one cried to another and said:

“Holy, holy, holy is the Lord of hosts;
The whole earth is full of His glory!”

When we meditate on the holiness of God daily, we have to examine our conduct daily, to live a life pleasing unto the Most High God.

Finally we are reminded in Micah 6:8 to live in Christ’s life, a conduct that God requires of us

Micah 6:8, “He has shown you, O man, what is good;
And what does the Lord require of you
But to do justly,
To love mercy,
And to walk humbly with your God?

Daily asking for God’s abundant grace and the gift of righteousness to reign in this life through Jesus Christ!

Romans 5:17, “For if by the one man’s offense death reigned through the one, much more those who receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness will reign in life through the One, Jesus Christ.”

Thank you Holy Spirit for helping us daily to live in God’s holiness
