Last night a well known pastor was relating to an occasion when Billy Graham and his wife Ruth were travelling in a car and they were listening to a broadcast.

Billy Graham realised that the preacher was speaking from his message almost word for word (verbatim).

Evangelist Billy Graham turned to his wife Ruth and said that the preacher was using his message verbatim.

Ruth then spoke to her husband, Billy Graham, that she had heard from Billy Graham his message, Ruth said I had heard from Mordecai Ham! (Mordecai Ham brought Billy Graham to the Lord Jesus Christ)

Apostle Paul said to his spiritual son, Timothy in 2 Timothy 2:2, “And the things that you have heard from me among many witnesses, commit these to faithful men who will be able to teach others also.”

This wise pastor assured his congregation regarding the incident relating to the broadcast between Billy Graham and Ruth, the wise pastor said that the preacher from the broadcast was not wrong to share some of his message taken from Billy Graham because the preacher had received the message from Billy Graham and have applied the message in his own life and now he shared through the radio broadcast to bless the listeners! This was not plagiarism but he believed what apostle Paul said in
2 Timothy 2:15

Finally whatever we shared, preached or even taken from other men or women of God their messages as long as it is from God and His Word and the purpose is to impart to others for edification, for learning to be disciples of the living God! The message was shared for a purpose to benefit others and ultimately to give God all the Glory!

So let us continually be a worker as written in
2 Timothy 2:2, “Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.”
