PR 13: 15 Good understanding wins favor, but the way of the unfaithful is hard.
So they had to have people come to serve at the tables.
Another version says, “a person with good sense is respected. A treacherous person walks on the rocky road.
PR 22: 1 A good name is more desirable than great riches; to be esteemed is better than silver or gold.
One favor from Heaven is worth more that ten years of hard labor. That doesn’t mean, “Don’t work”. However there are doors that can’t be opened simply by ability, skill, or brilliant intellect: they can only be opened by God’s favor. Then all the connections and possibilities and resources become available. When God trusts us, He can send people to put millions of dollars to pass through your hands. It is improbable we could earn this finance by ourselves.
The Key is Understanding
When the supernatural intervention of God comes at a particular time for your particular need, the whole of Heaven will converge to make it happen. That’s favor!In Esther’s time, there were so many beautiful virgins. All were prepared and equipped and went through a year’s purification. But Esther stood out. Favor! Joseph stood out. Daniel stood out. Even in jail, Joseph and Daniel had favor. The key is this: good understanding gains favor.
PS 44: We have heard with our ears, O God; our fathers have told us what you did in their days, in days long ago. With your hand you drove out the nations and planted our fathers;
If we desire God to bless us with enduring riches:
• to be established beyond circumstances
• so that in the hour of darkness we are shining
• and in good times we are even more prosperous
• the key is the Word of God. It gives enduring riches and wealth.
After You’re Planted, the Favor Comes
Beloved, if we are not connected with God, and staying close to the people of God, we will be left alone, wondering. For example, if you give me a chili plant and I keep it in my office, it will not grow unless I plant it in soil. It will eventually die. You must be planted to flourish. If you’re not planted, rooted, staying connected with God and where God places you for you to grow, sooner or later, you will fizzle out.
PS 92: 12, 13 The righteous will flourish like a palm tree, they will grow like a cedar of Lebanon; planted in the house of the Lord, they will flourish in the courts of our God.
Be “planted”.
PS 44:2 With your hand you drove out the nations
and planted our ancestors;
you crushed the peoples
and made our ancestors flourish.
3 It was not by their sword that they won the land,
nor did their arm bring them victory;
it was your right hand, your arm,
and the light of your face, for you loved (favored) them.
Have a Spiritual Home
You will struggle if you don’t have the Lord’s favor. We must follow God’s modus operandi. Everybody needs a home: a natural home and a spiritual home. In the business world, you must stay planted in God, your Provider. He is our life-Source. Whatever you do, there are thousands of people doing the same type of business. Why are people attracted to you? It is grace upon grace. When God’s favor is upon you, people will be enraptured by you. But it is not because of you. It is the grace and favor from God upon you.
