Stewardship

Dear beloved saints,
I have been asked to teach a few sessions in the morning regarding biblical finance in Overseas.

I would like to include the following whenever I am asked to teach on Biblical Finance.
1) Ownership
2) Stewardship (accountability)
3) Generational Legacy
4) Eternity

The following are the Scriptures related to the following:
1) God is the Creator, He is the Owner and Possessor of Heaven and Earth and all there is in i
A) in Genesis 1, the Bible said “In the beginning, God created the heavens and the Earth”

Psalm 24:1, “The earth is the Lord’s, and all its fullness,
The world and those who dwell therein.”

Genesis 14v19, “..God is called the Most High, (El Elyon) the Possessor of heaven and Earth”

God said in Leviticus 25:23-“All the Land is Mine”

In Psalm 50v10-11, God said “Every beast, cattle, birds, wild beasts are Mine” Thus God is the Creator, Owner and Possessor

2) God is the Owner and we are Stewards
1) Stewards need to be as described in 1 Corinthians 4:1, “Let a man so consider us, as servants of Christ and stewards of the mysteries of God.

V2 , “Moreover it is required in stewards that one be found faithful.”

2) 1 Corinthians 6:19, “Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God,
and you are not your own?

V20, “For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s.” Good

So even our body belongs to God and thus we are only stewards

3) Generational Legacy. God is the God of the generations Abraham, Isaac and Jacob and father of our Lord Jesus Christ!

The bible reminds us to pass to our generations! In Deuteronomy 6:7, you shall teach your children diligently!

Psalm 78:3, “Which we have heard and known, And our fathers have told us.

4, “We will not hide them from their children, Telling to the generation to come the praises of the Lord, And His strength and His wonderful works that He has done.”

It is sad when we read in Judges 2:10, After Joshua had passed on, the next generation did not know their God.

Judges 2:10, “When all that generation had been gathered to their fathers, another generation arose after them who did not know the Lord nor the work which He had done for Israel.”

So it is important that we teach our children and the generations to come!

4) Eternity We need to understand that we are pilgrims on this earth but we are living for eternity!
1 Chronicles 29:15, “For we are aliens and pilgrims before You, As were all our fathers; Our days on earth are as a shadow, And without hope.”

1 Timothy 6:17, “Command those who are rich in this present age not to be haughty, nor to trust in uncertain riches but in the living God, who gives us richly all things to enjoy.

V18, “Let them do good, that they be rich in good works, ready to give, willing to share,

V19, “storing up for themselves a good foundation for the time to come, that they may lay hold on eternal life.”

Thus we need to know consciously that we are living towards Eternity, especially in our management and stewardship of our finance

God bless you always and remember that we have to give an account of our stewardship
Hebrews 4:13, “And there is no creature hidden from His sight, but all things are naked and open to the eyes of Him to whom we must give account.”

Finally let us be faithful as stewards.

Proverbs 28:20, “A faithful man will abound with blessings, But he who hastens to be rich will not go unpunished.”

God be with you always
